LAKELAND,
FL (May 20, 2005) - Tickets
are on sale now to meet Pro Football Hall of Famer and President
of the USF Foundation Partnership for Athletics Lee Roy Selmon,
USF Head Basketball Coach Robert McCullum, and USF Lakeland Vice
President and CEO Preston Mercer at the Community Luncheon, hosted
by the Polk County Alumni Chapter of the USF Alumni Association.
"We are extremely exited about this year's event and the opportunity
to increase campus and community support while building valuable
relationships among area alumni," said Dawn Lengel, USF Lakeland
Alumni Affairs Liaison.
Staff, faculty, alumni and community members have already purchased
tickets that will give an inside look at the athletic department's
recent NCAA academic recognitions and their goals as contender's
in the Big East conference. Additionally, participants will receive
details of USF Lakeland's development and plans for a 530 acre comprehensive
campus slated to open in 2010.
Guests will attend the June 9 luncheon, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm
at the Lakeland Center. Tickets are $20 per person or $200 per table
of ten and can be purchased by registering

The Lakeland Center is located at 701 W. Lime St. in downtown Lakeland.
