LAKELAND,
FL (April 11, 2007) - The 5th annual University of South Florida Lakeland Career Fair will take place from 4 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, April 17. This event is free and open to the public and takes place in the new PCC/USF LTB Auditorium on the Lakeland campus, 3433 Winter Lake Road.
Representatives from top Polk County businesses, non-profit and government organizations are registered to participate in the fair. A list of the participating organizations is available online at www.lakeland.usf.edu.
“This is a substantial opportunity for our students, alumni, and community members who would like to explore employment options with local and national businesses,” said Mary Mittag, USF Lakeland career services coordinator. “The professional atmosphere of the fair gives participants the chance to make positive first impressions on company representatives.” Mittag added that, in addition to searching for a job, students are encouraged to attend the fair for general information gathering and networking prospects. Attendees are encouraged to dress for success and bring resumes to prospective employers. An iPod and many other great prizes will be available to win.
