LAKELAND,
FL (April 23, 2004) - The University of South Florida's Lakeland campus is proud to announce its 2004 Spring Commencement exercises for Monday, May 3, 2004, 7:00 p.m. in the Youkey Theatre of the Lakeland Center. Nearly 100 students are expected to graduate from the Lakeland campus this Spring. The speaker for the spring commencement exercises will be Circuit Court Judge Susan Roberts.
A Florida native, eighth generation, Judge Roberts serves in the 10th Judicial Circuit of Florida which covers Hardee, Highlands and Polk Counties. She currently presides over felony cases and serves as the Administrative Judge of the Felony Division in Polk County.
Individuals scheduled to receive special recognition during the ceremony include the USF Lakeland Spring 2004 Outstanding Senior, Connie Lester of Plant City and Spring 2004 Distinguished Citizen Award recipient, Dr. W. Aubrey Gardner, Vice President for Academic Affairs at South Florida Community College.
