The University of South Florida Lakeland is offering free tutoring this summer for K-8th grade students with reading difficulties. Graduate candidates who are completing their master's degree in reading will provide tutoring either one-on-one or in small groups.
Tutoring sessions will be held Monday - Thursday, 9 a.m. - 11 a.m., June 9 - 26, at USF Lakeland.
All students will be assessed using multiple informal reading assessments. Based on the results of these assessments, a plan will be developed and implemented for each child.
Transportation to USF Lakeland is the responsibility of the child's parent or guardian. At the end of the project the child's parent or guardian will receive a progress report.
