Quality School Leaders Symposia
LAKELAND,
FL (October 31, 2003) - Down-to-earth,
inspired, and full of wisdom, Dr. Roland Barth knows what it takes to
create outstanding schools for youngsters and adults alike. Committed
to building schools rich in community, learning and leadership, he will
present his message, "Building a Community of Learners," Thursday,
December 11, 2003, 7:00 p.m. at George Jenkins High School.
This free presentation is part of the Quality School Leaders Symposia.
Area educators and the community are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Dr. Barth has served as faculty member, senior lecturer and director at Harvard Graduate School of Education and was the founding Director of the Principals' Center. He has been an Academic Visitor at Oxford University, and a member of the National Commission on Excellence in Educational Administration. Additionally, Dr. Barth is a recipient of an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters from Lewis and Clark College.

School Leaders Symposia.
The QSLS is collaboration of area businesses with local educators in a unique partnership geared toward enriching and expanding the skills of school administrators. Seed money for the Symposia was granted through the Wallace Reader's Digest Ventures
in Leadership grant, provided to USF Lakeland for an Administrator's Institute.
