Human Relations Skills Course
Offered at USF Lakeland
LAKELAND,
FL (November 20, 2002) - Employers
today seek applicants who are problem solvers with strong interpersonal
skills. The difficulty is, many people are not trained in how to effectively
communicate with co-workers or how to solve problems in the work force.
USF Lakeland in now offering a course to remedy that situation. The Human
Relations Skills Counseling course offered beginning Spring 2003, will
help people recognize the importance of human relation skills within all
areas of life. Students will learn to identify the strengths and weaknesses
in their personal communication skills. Additionally, they will learn
to describe and use problem solving to resolve challenges faced in whatever
field they may be working in. Students will receive an understanding of
the impact of diversity in human relationships and promote multiculturalism
in their communication skills. The course will also cover some of the
legal and ethical issues attached to human relationships and communication.
