Information Technology

Overview

USF Lakeland offers undergraduate and graduate programs to prepare students for a broad spectrum of professional careers. The undergraduate programs are designed to provide students with a sense of human values and the foundation necessary for a lifetime of continued learning.

The Information Technology program has been designed to bridge the gap between computer science and the business use of computers. Its emphasis is on knowledge-based computer and information technology as well as applications, programming and networking in an era of rapidly changing technology. Electives are planned for students to develop expertise in specific areas of application.

USF Lakeland provides a complete bachelor's degree and two certificate programs in Information Technology. Both certificates are designed for students who hold bachelor's degrees in fields other than IT. For information on the certificate programs contact the Academic Advisor at (863) 667-7064.
