USF Lakeland and the
University of South Florida Foundation, Inc. have created a partnership
to assure current and permanent charitable gift support for students
and faculty.
With strong support from a development committee led by USF Foundation
Board member and Lakeland realtor Gene Engle, a Five
Year Fundraising Plan has been developed.
Scholarship support is at the heart of the plan and is epitomized
in the message entitled "Gifts
of the Heart", authored by past Vice President and Campus Executive
Officer Dr. L. Preston Mercer.
Through this initiative, several privately funded USF
Foundation Scholarships are made available to students. These
scholarships reflect a donor’s commitment to the University
and recognize either past endeavors or future success.
Friends and graduates of USF Lakeland wishing to provide charitable
gift support are invited to contact the campus Development
Office and to review the various methods available for providing
charitable gift support found on the USF
Foundation website.
Individuals wishing to make a gift for USF Lakeland on-line are
invited to select Give
Online! You will be routed directly to the vast selection of
endowments and operating funds which support USF Lakeland.
Likewise, faculty and staff have access to the same selection of
endowments and operating funds, via the Faculty
Staff Campaign. Faculty and Staff are encouraged to use payroll
deduction as a gift payment option and to make a sustaining pledge.
A sustaining pledge continues until the donor ends the pledge, and
is only available via payroll deduction.
