Change your
Windows Password
To change your password
for the EAST domain, follow the steps outlined below, or call
the ERDC Helpdesk for assistance.
Windows XP Desktops /
Laptops
- Log in to your computer (Laptop Users: You must be connected
via the USF VPN or in your docking station)
- Hit Ctrl + Alt + Del once logged into your computer. The following
screen will appear:

- Select "Change Password"
- Enter your current password, and new password. Your new password
must have the following characteristics:
- THREE of the FOUR below:
- lowercase letter
- uppercase letter
- number
- special character i.e. ~!@#$%^
- minimum 8 characters
- not a previously used password
- not based on name or username

- Your password will expire 6 months after you set it.
- You will receive a 14 day notice to reset your password before
it expires.

Change
your password via the Internet
- Log into the webmail by clicking
here
- Select Options for the left-hand menu
- Select Change Password
- In the Domain field, enter EAST
- Enter your current password, and new password. Your new password
must have the following characteristics:
- THREE of the FOUR below:
- lowercase letter
- uppercase letter
- number
- special character i.e. ~!@#$%^
- minimum 8 characters
- not a previously used password
- not based on name or username
- Click Apply

Reset your
Windows Password
To reset your password
for the EAST domain, follow the steps below. You must have previously
logged into the password reset system and answered questions before
you will be able to reset your password.

Reset System
- When you first open the password reset system, you will need
to select an option:
- Unlock your user account (too many wrong password attempts)
- Reset your password (Only if you have already setup your
password reset questions)
- Setup your password reset questions for the first time or
update your answers
- Follow the directions for the option you chose. If you would
